Willie (Biggers) Ledford

Mrs. Willie Joyce Biggers Ledford, age 86, of York, SC, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Union Baptist Church, 1945 Ratchford Rd., York, SC. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary, officiated by Pastor Tony Klinedinst. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Born in York County on September 17, 1938, Willie was the daughter of the late James Herbert Biggers and Mary Letha Thompson Biggers. She retired as an Insurance Supervisor with Allstate and was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church.

Willie is survived by her husband, Norman Ledford, Jr.; her son, Ronald “Ron” Ledford (Wendy Greenwood); and her grandchildren, Bethany Taylor Ledford and Aaron Paul Ledford (Celina). She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Biggers Waters; and brothers, John James Biggers, Garth Neill Biggers, and Daniel Fred Biggers.
