William “Bill” L. Hardin, Jr. 85 of York passed away on Thursday February 27, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center.
A memorial service will be 2 PM on Sunday March 2, 2025 at Filbert PCA with Reverend Dr. David Hall and Reverend Jeff Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary following the service.
Born in York, Bill was the son of the late William Leon Hardin, Sr. and Eula Green Hardin. He was the widower of Eleanor Currence Hardin. He was retired maintenance supervisor with Divine Saviour Hospital, and White Oak Manor nursing home. Bill knew that he needed a savior, and had a deep faith in Jesus.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Angela Lee Hardin, Allison Hardin Warren, grandson, William Daniel “Danny” Warren (Brooke). His nieces and nephews, Bobby Moose, Sandy Kerley, Carol Ann McCurdy, Beverly Sowers, Gale Hoover, Juel Chapman, Sarah Plunkett, and Lauren Haigler and his brother-in-law Larry Hays.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dan Warren, sister, Elizabeth Moose and nephew Leon Moose.
