Virginia (Stephenson) Harris

Sharon – Virginia Stephenson Harris, 95, of Sharon, SC passed away at her home on October 10, 2025.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Sharon United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. John Howle. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sharon, SC.  The family will receive friends following the burial at the cemetery.

Virginia was born on June 14th, 1930, in York County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Stephenson, Sr. and Eva Belle Ramsey Stephenson and the widow of Lee Roy Harris. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and retired from Bell South Telephone Company, First Citizens Bank, and Brownie’s Sales and Service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by her nieces, Pam Patton, Paula Blanchard, Barbara Lewis (Darrell), and Vonda Hammett (Danny), her nephews, David Stephenson, and Butch Lattimore (Mary). She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Lee Stephenson, Pauline Martin, Bonnie Lattimore, and Josie Stephenson, along with her nephews, Bobby Stephenson and Phil Stephenson and one great nephew.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Virginia’s name to Sharon United Methodist Church, Post Office Bx 97, Sharon, SC 29742.
