Tonya Lynn Bernard

Tonya Lynn Bernard of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. Tonya was a daughter, sister, mother, and Nana who was devoted to her family.

Throughout her life, Tonya faced many obstacles that her faith in God helped her to overcome. Inspired by her passion for helping others, she pursued a career in nursing. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, painting and crafting, and every year she would find a way to visit her favorite place- the beach.

Tonya is survived by her mother; Dianne Melton, father and step-mother; Butch and Tammy Bernard, sister and brother-in-law; Kimberly and Robert Floyd, brother and sister-in-law; Jarrod and Devin Moore, son and daughter-in-law; Jordan and Amanda Bernard, daughter and son-in-law; Kristin and Eric Hahn, her four grandchildren; Matthew Bernard, Charlotte Hahn, Brooks Bernard, and Emmy Bernard, and her aunt; Cindy Shafer.

She will be missed, but we will find comfort in knowing she is with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.

Because of her great love of her grandchildren and nursing, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Levine Children’s Hospital. 

A memorial service celebrating Tonya's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Ebenezer ARP Church with Reverend Matt Allison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, 2132 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
