Tommy Lynn Benfield

Tommy Lynn Benfield, 58, of York, SC passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Liberty Church with Pastor Matt Burrell officiating.   Inurnment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, 229 East Liberty Street, York, SC. The family will receive friends after the service.

Tommy was born on December 2, 1964, in York, SC. He was the son of the late James Edward Benfield and Mozelle Shirley Shipton Benfield. 

Tommy is survived by his daughters, Danielle Benfield, Monica Benfield, and Stephanie Benfield (Joshua Hefner); his siblings, Shirley Polk, Sheila Zirkle (Wayne), and Sandy Childers; and his grandchildren, Kylie, Payton, Eli, Zoey, Charleigh, Serenity, Joseph, Houston, and Harden.

In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis “Red” Benfield, Jimmy Benfield, Tony Benfield, David Benfield, Joey Benfield, Randy Benfield, and Billy Benfield as well as his sister, Mary Frances “Sissy” Horne.
