Thomas Andrew Culp

Thomas Andrew Culp, Sergeant First Class (US Army Retired), of York, SC passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Tommy was born on October 8, 1948, in York, SC. He was the son of the late James Andrew Culp and Clara Sexton Culp. Tommy was a veteran of the US Army, retiring after 34 years of service. 

Tommy is survived by his children; Shannon Culp (Jill), and Heidi Chickoree. His grandchildren Drew Culp (Carol), Will Culp (Mickenzie), Gray Culp (Logan), Haley Whitesides (Ethan), and Lexi Chickoree. Also, his great-grandchildren Avery, John Wesley, Collins, Bowen, Lawson, Lacey, and Sutton. His sister Jerri Mae York and his constant companion of 24 years Pat Smith.  

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Culp.  

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. The graveside service will be held the following day at 2 pm at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC with full military honors.
