Theresa Frances (Johnson) Simpson

Mrs.  Theresa Simpson, 75, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Rock Hill, SC after a very short illness.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday April 13, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church of Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends at the church following the service celebrating Terre’s life.

Terre was born September 21, 1948 in Long Beach, CA. She attended elementary school at St. Cornelius and graduated high school from St. Anthony’s in 1966.  Terre met her high school sweetheart Alan in 1965 and they married November 8, 1969. They were stationed in Japan while Al was in the Navy from 1969 - 1972.

In 1972, they returned and lived in Coronado, CA until Al’s discharge from the Navy in 1974. They settled in Southern California and lived in Lakewood and Cypress enjoying activities through their children and extended family, St. Cornelius, sports and work.  

Terre worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Claim Jumper, “the best job she ever had”.  After moving to Norwalk, CT she started working for Philips Norelco as a customer service agent, retiring in 2015.

In 2017, Al and Terre left Norwalk and moved to the Carolinas to be closer to family.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Simpson, her children, Keith Simpson (Tanya) and Kim Crean (James), and her sisters Susan Johnson and Patricia Redding. Her legacy includes her grandchildren Zachary and Samantha Simpson, Amelia and Katie Crean and her step-grandchildren Lillie and Allie Correal. 

Terre was preceded in death by her granddaughter Adrienne Simpson in 2014.
