Terry Gilfillan

 Mr. James “Terry” Gilfillan, age 69, of York, SC passed away on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Monday, June 24th, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy., York, SC and other times at Jane’s home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Gilfillan officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Terry was born on August 10th, 1954 in in York, South Carolina. He was the son of Bonnie Lattimore Gilfillan and the late Thomas Bert Gilfillan. Growing up, Terry was an avid baseball player for Hickory Grove High where he was awarded MVP for four straight years. He also enjoyed singing and karaoke, he was a member of York First Baptist Church, and he worked at Westinghouse in Charlotte, NC. He spent his free time as a handy man in construction.

In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his former wife and mother of his two sons, Jane Comer Gilfillan; his sons, Blake Gilfillan (Rachel), Mitch Gilfillan (Kali), and his grandson, his pride and joy, James Gilfillan. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenny Gilfillan (Anne), Rob Gilfillan (Sandy); his half-sister, Denise Taylor (Robert), and special friend, Sandi Whelden.
