Sylvia P. Hicks

Sylvia P. Hicks, 80, passed away on May 15, 2023, in Cleveland County Hospital.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her sons, Claude Hicks, Jr. and Herbert Lee Hicks.

She is survived by her children: Ms. Williams, Louise Gregory, Peggy Phillips (Todd), Darlene Vuchak (Dan), her grandchildren: Scotty Morris (Jessica), Angela Childress (Joel), Crystal Quick (Bobby), Roger Jennings, Valerie Palubiak (Robbie), Candice Medlin (Stephen), Joshua Parmentier (Tonilynn), Joseph Hicks (Maria), Clayton Hicks (Brandy), Ashley Dayton, and 22 great grandchildren.

 Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She married Claude Hicks, Sr. in 1964, and they were happily married for 59 years. They raised 2 sons and 4 daughters together and were loving grandparents and great grandparents. Sylvia’s smile, kindness, infectious laugh, and sass would light up everyone's heart, even if you were a stranger. 

A celebration of life will be held at 5pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Faith Family Christian Center located at 3483 Homestead Road in Rock Hill, SC.

Rest in peace, Sylvia/Mother/Grandma. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved you! You are reunited with your boys, at last.
