Susan Coyne

Ms. Susan Coyne, age 66, of York, South Carolina, peacefully

passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Susan was born on February 4, 1959, in Clipstone, England. She was

the daughter of the late Arthur (Archie) Coyne and Pauline Castle Coyne.

Susan was known for her kind heart, cheerful smile, unwavering spirit, and incredible strength and grace which she shared openly with everyone in her life. She truly enjoyed interacting with the public and brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met throughout her over sixteen years at Walmart.

Susan had a gentle spirit and found joy in the simple beauties of life.

She especially loved hummingbirds, carnations, reading books, doing puzzles and spending time with family more than anything else. Susan’s memory will forever be cherished by family, friends, colleagues and by her legacy as a mother and Nana.

She is survived by her son, Steven Coyne; her daughter, Tracie

Coyne (Tyler Peters); her grandson, Cole Peters; and her

honorary stepchildren, Melissa Sweeney (Dustin) and their kids, Randy Cole II (Nicole) and their kids. Also surviving are her sister, Linda Marshall (Keith), her nephew, Lee Marshall; her honorary sister-in-law, Donna Cole Dangerfield (David), and various other nephews and a niece.

A memorial service celebrating Susan’s life will be held on February 13, 2026 at Bratton Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 3 PM with service to follow at 4 PM. We invite all who knew and loved Susan to join the family in honoring her memory.
