Steven Alton Ashe

Steven Alton Ashe, 69, of York, SC passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2020 Hillcrest Road, York, SC 29745. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Brad  Vassey officiating.

Steven was owner/ operator of Ashe and Associates Electrical Company along with Ashe Builders, and worked in maintenance for York School District 1.  Steven loved his family, his church, farming, and his dog, Sonny.  He was strong in his faith and loved the Lord.

He was born on August 1, 1953, in York County, SC. He was the son of the late Ray Minus Ashe and Dorothy Odom Ashe. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his siblings Renee Ashe, Phillip Ashe, and Denise Biggers as well as his granddaughter, Brooklyn Ashe.

He is survived by his wife, Tommie Trainham Ashe, his daughter, Aimee Ward (Ollie), his step children John Saunders (Ashlie), Gracey King (Brandon); his siblings Regina Taylor (Calvin), Linda Cameron (Don): grandchildren Hunter King, Tanner King and Carter Ward. And also his nephews Phil Ashe and Ryan Childers.

Memorials in Steven’s name can be made to Hospice and Community Care at 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
