Shirley (Cannon) Payne

Shirley Cannon Payne, 70, of Sharon, SC passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Shirley’s home.

Shirley was born on February 27, 1951 in Athens, GA. She was the daughter of the late John S. Cannon and Helen Nalley Dameron and was the widow of Tommy Payne, Sr.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Shannon Linder (Michael), sons, Charles Payne (Kathy), Tommy Payne, Jr. (Della), grandchildren: Stephanie Edington, Shane Linder, Morgan Linder, Brittany Ray, Lisa Gregory, Michael Payne, Shawn Payne; twelve great grandchildren, and siblings: Johnny Cannon, Ray Cannon, Billy Cannon, Peggy Gunter, Mary Hammond, and Jenny Metternick.
