Shirley Brandon

Shirley Joyce Smart Brandon, 86, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with the Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.

Shirley was born on October 13, 1935 in York County, SC. She was the daughter of the late John Raymond Smart and Maggie McSwain Smart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of York and retired as a security officer at Duke Power Catawba Nuclear Station. Shirley was a passionate artist and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Lydia Corey (Mark), Lori Crenshaw (Randy), Jennifer Brandon, Rebecca Brandon, and grandchildren: Matt, Allison, Jessica, Joe, and Laney; one great granddaughter, Claire, and her loving fur baby, Tommy.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Harriett “Dink” Smart Tillinger and Mary Anne Smart McDaniel.
