Sha Jackson Queen, 41, of York, SC, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2025.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A graveside service will be held the following day, Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Bullock Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7386 Lockhart Hwy, Sharon, SC 29742.
Born on March 12, 1983, in Ripley, WV, Sha was the beloved son of Jack and Brenda McClain Queen. A proud graduate of York Comprehensive High School, Class of 2001, he built a career as a sales representative for R&R Powder Coating.
Sha had a deep passion for the open road and the great outdoors. His love for classic cars was unmatched—whether restoring, driving, or simply admiring them, he found joy in every rev of the engine. When he wasn’t behind the wheel, you could find him out on the trails in his four-wheeler, casting a line while fishing, or tracking game on a hunting trip.
More than anything, Sha knew how to bring people together. As a DJ, he was the life of the party, spinning the perfect tunes to keep his friends dancing late into the night. His gatherings were legendary, filled with music, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
But above all, Sha was a devoted husband to Kayla and a loving father to Aubrey. His family was his greatest treasure, and he worked tirelessly to provide them with a life full of love, adventure, and joy.
Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever ride the roads, echo through the music, and live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Sha is survived by his devoted wife, Kayla Stowe Queen, and his greatest joy, his daughter, Aubrey Laine Queen. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Nikkia Starcher; his sister, Lindsay Queen; his nephews, Callan Starcher and Kian Starcher; and his nieces, Annabelle Starcher, Marea Jordan, and Lainey Jordan. He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law, Rita Stowe; father-in-law, Bobby Stowe; and his sister-in-law, Jamie Evans (Wes), along with their daughter, Kaselyn, and brother-in-law, Jody Stowe with his son, Kori.
