Sandra (Ramsey) Mitchell

Mrs. Sandra Ramsey Mitchell, age 75, of Smyrna, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Canaan United Methodist Church, 4810 Canaan Church Rd., Smyrna, SC 29743. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Reverend Bradley Harold officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sandra was born on November 29, 1950, in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late James David Ramsey and Eula Mae Spencer Ramsey and the widow of Ronald Hood Mitchell.

Sandra dedicated her career to working as a seamstress, a craft that became much more than simply a profession—it was something she truly loved. She found great joy in sewing and could often be found at her machine, creating something beautiful with her own hands. Her talent, patience, and attention to detail were a reflection of the care she brought to everything she did. Sewing was a special part of Sandra’s life, but her greatest joy came from the people she loved. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every opportunity to be with her family. Her sons and grandsons were the center of her world, and she treasured the time they spent together, whether gathered around the dinner table, visiting at home, or simply enjoying the everyday moments that become the most meaningful memories. Sandra will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle spirit, and the devotion she showed to her family throughout her life.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Joseph Mitchell (Courtney) and Michael Mitchell; her grandsons, Clint Mitchell, Eric Mitchell (Bella), Austin Mitchell (Katherine), Mason Mitchell, and Luke Mitchell (Teegan); and her sister, Debbie Norman (Jim “Peabody”).
