Rosa (Smith) Pressley

Ms. Rosa Mae Pressley age 86, of Lake Wylie, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 with her family by her side.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church, 6381 Lake Wylie Rd., Lake Wylie, South Carolina, 29710 with the funeral service to begin at 2 PM with Rev. Steve Kirby and Rev. Drew Boland officiating.  Interment will be 2 PM on Monday November 3, 2025 at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144

Rosa was born on July 21, 1939, in Concord, NC. She was the daughter of the late Lester Smith and Daisy Starnes Smith and the widow of Tommy L. Pressley. Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who prayed for her family daily and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and she loved her church family. Attending church on Sunday was always the highlight of her week. She will be missed each and every day. Our world is already a little less bright. She leaves a void that can’t be filled. Her earthly accomplishments pale in comparison to the love she gave to each of us.

She is survived by her three children Linda Sue Allen (Everett), of Gastonia; Elvis Lee Pressley (Shanta) of Clover and Billy Joe Pressley of York, SC.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren; David Morrison, (Linda), Derek Morrison (Angie), Matthew Pressley (Whitney); Megan Larson (Travis); Brandon Pressley (Ashlee); Richelle Morgan (Dwight); Dory Yukob; and Cody Pressley along with numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 64 years; Tommy Lee Pressley; Rosa was also preceded in death by her son Johnny Ray Pressley, a brother, Junior Smith, a grandson, Joey Pressley, and a daughter-in-law Sherry Pressley.
