Roger Ball

Mr. Melvin Roger Ball, age 76, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Born on August 10, 1948, in Union, SC, Roger was the beloved son of the late Hubert William Ball and Doris Rogers Ball Fain. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Roger served his country with honor. He later worked as a supervisor and mechanic for Northern Tool Equipment, dedicating years of service to his craft.

Roger found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including gardening, fishing, and golfing on warm summer days. His kind heart and passion for life were felt by all who knew him.

Roger is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Laura Lucketta; his loving daughters, Antoinette L. McArthur (Matthew) and Sabrina Lucketta; and his cherished grandsons, Conner and Brody McArthur. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda Wells, Delores McDaniel (Randy), and Linda Stacks (Joel).

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Frankie Albanese.
