Robert Samuel Robinson

Robert (Bubber) Robinson, 89, of 126 McClain Street, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 23, 2023.  Born in York, SC he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Robinson.

 The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Bratton Funeral Home located at 1455 Filbert Highway York, SC. The funeral service will be at 2pm Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Bratton Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Nunn officiating and assisted by Gerald Moss, Jr., his grandson.  Burial will be held at Beth Shiloh Church Cemetery at 1184 N. Shiloh Road, York, SC.

Bubber retired from the Bleachery in Rock Hill after 43 years.  Prior to working at the Bleachery he served 2 years in the United States Army. He loved playing softball and coaching Little League.  He loved his family and always taught his children to respect other people’s property. He also taught them to show respect to others.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Anne Robinson, 4 daughters, Debbie Moss and her husband Gerald, Bobbie Robinson, Lisa Robinson all of York, SC, and Wendy Sawyer and her husband, Chris, of Rock Hill SC.  He is also survived by 2 grandsons, Gerald Moss, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Edgemoor, SC and Alex Robinson and his girlfriend, Rachel, of York, SC and 2 great grandsons, David and Daniel Moss of Edgemoor, SC. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Justice, of York, SC. He is survived also by his 2 special fur companions, Mikey and Bentley.

Bubber was proceeded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
