Robert Harris, Jr.

 Mr. Robert Harris, Jr., age 91 of York, SC passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 6, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm the following day at Bratton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Hope officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Robert was born on October 17th, 1932 in Cherokee County. He was the son of the late Robert Harris, Sr. and Sarah Blanche Bridges Harris. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and worked for Sunbeam, the Bleachery, and York County Recycling Center in McConnells, SC.

Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Melton Harris; his son, Robert “Rick” Harris (Debra); his brothers, Leo Harris (Debbie), Jerry Harris (Amy); his sister, Joan Hager; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Charles D. Harris, three brothers, and four sisters.
