Robert Wade Blackmon

CHESTER – Robert “Rob” Wade Blackmon, 59, of Chester, SC passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in York, SC.  The funeral service will follow at 2 PM at the church and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Rob was born on April 10, 1962 in Maryland. He worked as a Foreman for Blythe Development and was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.

Rob is survived by his daughters, Karen Deanna Blackmon (Jacob), Shanon Martin (Michael), Brittany Huntington (Ryan), son, Greg Wilson, former wife, Brenda Blackmon, fiancé, Leslie Henson, step-children; Jonathan Mitchell, Rion Mitchell, Brittany Mitchell, Ashtyn Wallace, Austin Henson; and grandchildren: Kayla, Ever, Wade, Jaxon, Sawyer, McKenleigh, Ayden, Addy, Emersyn, and Harper. Rob was preceded in death by his father, Richard Blackmon and his grandmother who raised him, Florence Dills.
