Richard Smith

Mr. Richard H. Smith, age 75, of York, SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Caro Mont Health in Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Harvest Ministries Church of God at 1211 Anderson Rd. S. Rock Hill, SC 29730.  A funeral service celebrating Richard’s life will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor Gary Adkins  officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Richard was born on May 22, 1950, in Lancaster, PA, and was the son of the late Russell Smith, Sr. and Josephine Smith. He was a talented and hardworking man who enjoyed using his many skills in carpentry, maintenance, and other trades. Richard loved fishing, traveling, and helping others in need, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Quentin Smith; his daughter, Beth Lewis and grandson Brandon Lewis; along with his sister, Ann Hipple (Tom).

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene Conley Smith; his brother, Russell Smith, Jr.; and his sisters, Dot Fawber and Deloris Rissler.
