Richard Lennie Marquis

Mr. Richard Lennie Marquis, age 63, of York, SC passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.

A memorial service celebrating Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Eastview Baptist Church, 1430 Gordon Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732 beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Mitchell and Pastor Rick Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Richard was born on March 16, 1963, in Princeton, WV. He was the son of the late Charles Marquis, Sr. and Mattie Whitt Marquis. Richard recently retired as a supervisor in construction and enjoyed spending his free time on the water fishing or in the woods hunting. He was a faithful man who loved the Lord and his church, Eastview Baptist, where he enjoyed serving and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy came from his family, and he made sure they always knew they were the center of his world.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Wright Marquis; his loving daughter, Kristen Justice; his precious granddaughters, Madelyne Stanley and Charlotte Justice; and his siblings, Sonja Sadler, Shelia Graham, Charles Marquis, Jr., and David Marquis.
