Rich Stanley Brown

Richard “Rich” Stanley Brown, Jr., 48, of York, SC passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 peacefully at his home and surrounded by his loving family.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Clover ARP Church in Clover, SC with the Reverend Mark Miller officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service. Masks are required to be worn at all times while attending the services. Rich was born on June 15, 1973 in York County. He was the son of Richard “Rick” Brown, Sr. and Elizabeth “Libby” Youngblood Sowell and the graduate of Clover High School, class of 1991. Rich was a member of Clover ARP Church and also a member of York Shag Club. He worked at Comer Distibuting in Rock Hill, SC. Rich never met a stranger and never forgot a face. He was well loved by his community.

In addition to his parents, Rich is survived by his wife, Jennifer Woody Brown, sons, Grayson Wallace Brown and Corban Patrick Brown, sisters, Lori Sowell and Ashley Huffstetler (Justin); mother and father-in-law, Nancy and Jim Woody, brothers-in-law, Brian Woody (Jennifer), Tommy Woody (Cindy), nieces: Olivia, Amber, Danielle, Katie, and nephews: John Robert, Davis, Heath, Griffin, Owen and Wyatt. He was also loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
