Renee (Blackwelder) Dover

Mrs. Renee Blackwelder Dover, age 75 of Clover, SC passed away peacefully at her home and surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mark Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.

Renee was born on May 7th, 1949 in York County. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Henry Blackwelder, Sr. and Lillie Rose Blackwelder. Renee spent most of her time as a caregiver, passionately looking after others, and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Renee is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Dover; her daughter, Crystal Renee Dover; her granddaughter, Sutton Olivia Dover; and her sister, Edith Ivey.

In addition to her parents, Renee was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah Ashley Dover; and her siblings: Virginia Alexander, Leroy Blackwelder, Lewis Blackwelder, Lucille Montgomery, Margaret Ann Parker, Doris Huffstetler, and Geraldine Blackwelder.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Johnnie Wise, Gena Carruthers, Sarah Ingram, Stephanie Gibbe, and Jane Dover for their love and care towards Mrs. Renee. The family would also like to thank Agape Care for their support through such hard times.
