Obituary

YORK – Raymond Nelson Eades, 90, of York, SC passed away at Caromont Health in Gastonia, NC on November 13, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1-2 PM.

Raymond was born on May 4, 1931 in Oconee County, SC. He was the son of the late R B Eades and Nellie Sue Ridley Eades, and was the widower of Shirley White Eades and Willie Mae Huffman Eades. He retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company. He served in the United States Marine Corps., and was a member of Beersheba Presbyterian Church in York, SC. He also was a Mason and Shriner

Raymond is survived by his children: Cathy Bailes (Marvin) of Clover, SC, Nick Eades (Debra) of York, SC, Rick Eades (Matthew) of Clover, SC, Skeeter Eades of Fla. and his step daughter Lisa Eades Evans, of Catawba, NC.  His grandchildren Brent “Bubba” Bailes, Brady Bailes, Michael Davis, Clay Davis, Jodie Hull (Kenny), Julia Deal (Jason) and seven great-grandchildren. His brother Jimmy Eades (Janet), of Blues Creek, NC, and his sisters Bobbi McCall, of Mountain Rest, SC,  Betty Smith of Salem, SC

In addition to his wives and parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Carol E. Davis.
