Ralph Dennis “Dennie” Clinton, age 83, of York, SC passed away on Friday, June 12th, 2026 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Dennie was born on January 1st, 1943 in York County, SC. He was the son of the late Howard Dennis Clinton, Bill and Lenual Louise Clinton Byers. The husband of the late Nancy Gordon Clinton. After retirement from Duke Energy Security, he went to work for the York County Sheriff’s Office in the court system. He was a 59-year member of the Serenity Club of York County and an avid hunter and fisherman .

Dennie is survived by his siblings, Kaye Castillo (Don), Tommy Byers (Connie), Lynn McClellan (Jim), Rita Cooper (Steve), Marla Byers, Darla Parris (Chris), and his brother-in-law Dan Greene. He is also survived by his special nephew Edward Abell (Jennifer), along with numerous other nieces, nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dennie was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Greene.
