Peggy (Harper) Wells

Mrs. Peggy Harper Wells, age 80, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Bethany ARP Church, 1454 Hwy 161 North, Clover, SC 29710. The funeral service will start at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev.Dr. Benjamin Glaser with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Peggy was born on April 15, 1945, in York County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Edward Matthew Harper and Vergie Huggins Harper. She was a devoted member of Bethany ARP Church, and taught the Primary Sunday School Class for 60 plus years. Peggy also crocheted baby blankets for every baby that was born at Bethany. She organized and oversaw the Bonclarken gift shop. She and her husband attended many car shows and cruise- ins.   

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Roy Glenn Wells, and her siblings, Tommy Harper (Nell), Libby Lindley, Cathy Cole (Gary), Louise Moss (Larry) and sister-in-law Anthea Harper. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Harper, Andy Harper, and Dorothy Adkins. 

In memory of Peggy Wells, memorials may be made to the Bethany ARP Church, 1454 Hwy 161 North, Clover, SC 29710.
