Peggy (Rainey) Moss

Ms. Peggy Lou Rainey Moss, age 87, of Hickory Grove, SC passed away peacefully on August 11th, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Wednesday, Augst 14th, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. A graveside service will be held the same day at 12 noon at Flint Hill Baptist Church, 269 Flint Hill Rd. Fort Mill, SC 29715, with Pastor Tommy Hope officiating.

Peggy was born on August 4th, 1937 in Pineville, NC. She was the daughter of the late John David Rainey, Sr. and Ruby Lee Blackwelder Rainey and the widow of Ervin Miller Moss, Jr. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Johnson, Ruby Johnson, Paul Johnson (Vicki), James Johnson (Tracy), Carol Johnson and Sherry Walden (Wayne) of TN.

Special acknowledgment of grandchildren: Justin Moss, Sawyer Ervin Moss and John Whitaker of TN; Chloe and Collin Johnson of Hickory Grove, SC; Dustin and Zachary Blackmon of Rock Hill, SC; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Diane Johnson and son, Jimmy Johnson.
