Oscar Ramsey

Mr. William Miles “Oscar” Ramsey, 78, of Sharon, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Filbert Presbyterian Church 2066 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. Pastors Dave Hall and Jeff Gilfillan will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sharon, SC.

Born in York County on April 19, 1947, Oscar was the son of the late William Charles Ramsey and Lena Mae Gibson Ramsey. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and the proud owner and operator of W. M. Ramsey Logging Company.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Grogan Ramsey; his children: Kim Auten (Steve), Lee Ramsey (Jennifer), and Lisa Brown (Ryan); his grandchildren: Matthew Auten (Becky), Caitlin Sawyer (Caleb), Ryan Brown, Jr., Jaden Brown, Maddie Ramsey, and Emmi Ramsey; his great-grandchildren: Charlie Fowler and Georgia Grace Sawyer; and his sister, Nancy Scronce.
