Moe (Hensley) Craig

Ms. Elizabeth Kay Hensley Craig, affectionately known as “Moe,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy., York, SC 29745. The family will also receive friends and family at other times at her son Jason's home.  A memorial service celebrating Moe’s life will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Tom McPhail officiating.

Moe was born on June 27, 1952, in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Hensley and Monette McClure Hensley. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and spent her career working in the textile industry.

Moe had a wonderful appreciation for the simple things in life. She enjoyed fishing, antiquing, and collecting milk glass. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. Moe was the kind of person who could always be trusted with a secret and was never too busy to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or simply be there for someone who needed her. Her family will especially remember the love and joy she found in being “Mamaw Moe.” The memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will remain a lasting part of her family’s hearts.

Moe is survived by her children, Jennifer C. Dills and Jason Craig (Courtney Cowart); her grandchildren, Brittany McDaniel, Michael Dills (Emily), Michelle Craig (Cameron), Matthew Dills (Hailee), Hannah Craig, and Caleb Craig; and her great-grandchildren, Easton Deese, Lucas Deese, Saige Craig, Oliver Craig, Matthew J. Dills, and Lillian Dills. She is also survived by her siblings, Delores Elkins (David) and Fred Hensley.

In addition to her parents, Moe was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Craig.
