Miriam Deanna (Ferguson) Ferrell

Mrs. Miriam Ferrell, age 83, of York, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy., York, SC 29745. A celebration of life will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Skip Allen officiating. Burial to follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.

Miriam was born on September 2, 1942, in Rock Hill, SC to the late Evelyn Garner Ferguson and James Benjamin “JB” Ferguson. She was the wife of Gilmore Stevenson (Steve) Ferrell. She retired from York Electric Cooperative.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son; Todd Ferrell (Beth), daughter; Shannon Arminoei (Ron) along with her grandchildren Steven Ray (Christy), Graham Ferrell (Amy), Hayden Ferrell, Summey Ferrell, great grandchildren; Kylah Ray, Arissa Ray, Titan Ray, Talia Ray and Wren Ferrell. She is also survived by her siblings; Danny Ferguson and Dewitt Ferguson.

In addition to her parents; she was predeceased by her siblings James “Jamie” Ferguson and Brenda Dawkins.

Miriam leaves behind a legacy of care for others. Her circle of family, friends, neighbors and co-workers were witness to deeds and acts of kindness. She was a nourisher and protector of those in need. She lived a life of service supporting those that were in her circle and unknown souls through her donations to many charities. Her absence will leave an unfillable void in the lives of those who loved her and some who never knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Miriam’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
