Mildred Lavada (McFalls) Teigue

Mildred Lavada McFalls Teigue, 84, of McConnells, SC passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Columbia Community Hospice House. She was born in Gastonia, NC to the late William Roy McFalls and Bertha Mize McFalls. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Mildred was an industrious worker with time spent in various jobs. She gave a willing hand and ear to those in need. She and her late husband, Henry Ray Teigue, were very active in the York Church of God. They worked with the youth of the Church and provided many a hot dog supper. She loved God. She was a beacon of light for her son, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and to those, who always no matter the family ties, called her “Maw Maw”. She touched many lives and heart in her 84 years.

Mildred leaves behind her loving son, Brian (Sherry), daughters: Ginger (Johnny), Denise (Gene), and Michal (Chris); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A heartfelt thank you to the Agape and Hospice Communities and many care givers who were loving and kind.

Family and friends will be received at the family home in McConnells, SC on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 159 Church St. McConnells, SC 29726.

Deceased baby boy, Henry Ray Teigue II, will be interred with her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local hospice community house or to a charity of one’s choice.

May she rest in peace and sing to her hearts content with all the precious family in Heaven.
