Michael Shawn Starnes

Michael Shawn Starnes, 57, of York, SC passed away May 21, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.

A visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Monday, June 9, 2025 with a memorial service immediately following at Bratton Funeral Home, located at 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745 with Rev. Jamie Burdette officiating.

Michael was born July 11, 1967 in Jacksonville, FL. He was the son of Marian Estridge Starnes and the late Mark Samuel Starnes, Sr. He was a retired deputy sheriff with Saint Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland. Michael loved painting artwork and playing video games.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his brother, Mark Samuel Starnes, Jr. and his wife, Angie.
