Michael Lee Dover

Michael Lee “Mike” Dover, known affectionately by his family as “Pops”, passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.

Mike was born on June 16th, 1951 in Cherokee County, SC. He was the son of the late Doris Helen Dover Painter and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Hickory Grove, SC.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sharon Parker Dover; his children: Lisa Dover, Brandy Helms (Chris), and Chris “Bubba” Dover; his four grandchildren whom he adored whole-heartedly, Mac Helms, Dillon “Scooter” Helms, Haley Helms, and Katlyn Helms; and his brother, Johnny Dover (Josie).

In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Painter.
