Obituary Notice YORK Melvin Ivey, Sr., 71, of York, SC, passed away on Thursday May 28, 2020 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Matt Burrell officiating. Melvin was born on November 19, 1948 in Robeson County, NC. He was the son of the late James F. Ivey and Louise Fisher Ivey. He is survived by his children, Melvin Ivey, Jr., Angie Faile (Wayne), David Burbach, Jr. (Amy), brother, Edmond Ivey, sisters, Margaret I. Penland, Peggy I. Brabenstot, grandchildren, Trevor Faile, Alston Burbach, Bryton Burbach, Alexia Sigmon, and former wife, Marian D. Burbach. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brattonfuneralhome.com.
