Maxine was a homemaker, caregiver, and enjoyed being active in her church with choir and children’s programs. She was 1 of 10 kids from the marriage of William and Maude Coleman from Stecoah, Robbinsville and Gastonia NC. She and Mac were married in 1956 and lived 20 years in Chicago before moving back to Carolina. They lived in Gastonia several years before buying land and building their home outside York SC. They enjoyed growing and sharing their abundance from the garden. They had adventures with friends and family visiting often and enjoying the home and property that included the fishing pond and target range. They often enjoyed sitting outside the garage and listening to the crickets and frogs or riding up the road on the golf cart. Any children around would be spoiled and entertained. Anyone that visited never left empty handed when the garden was in. She was the model of loving mother, wife, sister, friend and homemaker with her caring ways, cooking for family and church and always putting others needs in front of her own. If you are a friend, relative, former coworker, former child from her Sunday school class or fellow church family member please take time to do an act of kindness in her memory.
