Mary Alice (Stewart) Cain

Mrs. Mary Alice Stewart Cain, age 86, of York, SC, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745, with Reverend Mark Stewart officiating.

Mary Alice was born on April 18, 1940 in York County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Marion Lacey Stewart, Sr. and Lillie Ramsey Stewart and the widow of Robert “Bobby Joe” Cain. She was a devoted member of Temple Presbyterian Church PCA in Clover, SC.

Mary Alice is survived by her daughter, Kelly Williams (Ken); her grandchildren, Samantha Williams, Jessica Glasbrooks (Michael), and Faith Williams; her great-grandchildren, Case Small, James Glasbrooks, and Joanna Glasbrooks; her sister, Frances Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, Bobby Joe, Mary Alice was preceded in death by her siblings: Andreal “Doc” Stewart, Eunice Wallace, Marion “Lacey” Stewart, Jr., Marshall Stewart, Joe Stewart, Richard “Jim” Stewart, Connie Burton, and Lillian Cody.
