Marjorie (Bryant) Philbeck

Ms. Marjorie Bryant Philbeck, age 94 of York, SC passed away at White Oak Manor of York on Monday, October 2nd, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at Union Baptist Church, 1945 Ratchford Rd. York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 11 am in the church sanctuary with Pastor Ray Long officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Marjorie was born on July 3rd, 1929 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late Jim Bryant and Lossie Neelands Bryant and was the widow of Boyce Lee Philbeck. Marjorie enjoyed baking and cooking for others, spending time outside in her gardens, and fishing. She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church of York, SC.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Phyllis Philbeck Hardin (Robert), Donald Philbeck (Colleen), and Danny Philbeck; her grandchildren: Travis, Jarrett, Katie, Piper, Marjae, Ross, Cameron, Barry, Brandy, Kayla, Lauren, and Kendall; and her  great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her sons, Ernest Philbeck and Eddie Philbeck; her brothers: Woodrow, Larry, Friedham, Lewis, Meek, Ray, Roy, and Robert Bryant; and her sister, Katherine Ledford.
