Margaret (Schillaci) Sipsis

Mrs. Margaret Schillaci Sipsis, 74 of Smyrna, SC passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Margaret was born in Port Reading, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Schillaci and Margaret Zullo Schillaci.

She is survived by her son John Sipsis, Jr. (Lisa), grandchildren, Samantha Knight (Josh), Alexus Sipsis, and John Sipsis, III., great grandchildren, Sophia Knight, Lylian Knight, Charlotte Knight, and Jaycee Knight. She is also survived by her extended family Wee, Carmen ,Teresa, Jaidah, Milania, Kyrie, Paul, Audrey, Pauly, Brian, Mickey, Ronnie, Sandra, Jennifer, Carol, John, Rebecca , John, Maria, Ashley,and Chris, in addition to 6 extended grandchildren and 14 extended great-grandchildren.  

Margie was a big personality with an exceptional laugh all in a small package.  She had an impact on each person she interacted with.  She was courageous, kind, loving, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence.  She lived her life to the fullest.  Margie’s greatest joys and proudest accomplishments were being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a second mother to countless children and animals who were lucky enough to cross her path. She gave her love freely and fiercely to all, including Ben, Chuck, Marshall, Michelle, Rhonda, Terry and Carla, Gina, Sandy and Larry, Carol and so many others who felt her care, guidance, and unwavering support.
