Margaret (Cobb) Adams

Ms. Margaret Cobb Adams, age 89, of Clover, SC passed away at CaroMont Health in Gastonia on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Friday, August 30th, 2024 at Midway Baptist Church, 12984 State Hwy 55, York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 3 pm at the church with Pastors Preston Clinton and Tommy McFalls officiating. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Clover, SC.

Margaret was born on June 21st, 1935 in Clover, South Carolina. She retired as a secretary from textiles and was a member of Midway Baptist Church in York, South Carolina. Margaret loved camping and hummingbirds but her greatest love was her love for her family.

Margaret is survived by her children: William “Bill” Knox (Tina), Evelyn Brooks (David), David Adams (Leslie), Sandra Smoak, Martha Frye, Marie Yates (Al), and Judy Dinsmore.  She was also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward Cobb and Cora Lee Moses Cobb; her first husband, Joseph Knox; and her late husband, John Henry Adams. Also preceded in death were her sons Joey Knox, Johnny Knox, Jerry Adams; her daughters, Linda Freeman and Lois Wilkinson; and her siblings, Reola Brandon, Mildred Brandon, Mutt Cobb, and Roy Cobb.
