Marcella (Buckles) Douthit

 Mrs. Marcella Buckles Douthit, age 72, of Clover, SC passed away on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church, 834 W Old Limestone Rd York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm in the church sanctuary with Pastor William Lingerfelt officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.

Marcella was born on June 2nd, 1951 in Elizabethton, TN. She was the daughter of the late Porter and Lela Buckles. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Marcella is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Carol Douthit; her son, Justin Kent Douthit; her sister, Carol Start (Ken); and her sister-in-law, Wanda Buckles.

In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her siblings: Ede Oliver (Carl), Grace Williams (Sylvester), Irene Bowers (Hilton), Clyde Buckles, and Charles Buckles (Frieda).
