Louise Claudeen (Taylor) Wofford

Mrs. Louise Taylor Wofford, 91, of York, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at Rock Hill Post Acute Care.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday March 18th, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 102 S. Congress St., York, SC 29745. A graveside service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, will be on Thursday  March 20th, 2025 at 10:30 AM.

Louise was born on March 18th 1933 in Sevierville, TN, to the late Hubert Glenn Taylor and Lona Dockery Taylor and was the widow of James Francis Wofford, Sr.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in York.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Wofford McLafferty, her son, Frankie Wofford, her brother; Doug Taylor (Barbara), her grandchildren;  Scott McLafferty (Sarah), Christy Wendel (Mark) and Jacob McLafferty, along with her great grandchildren; Joshua Wendel (Allison), Charlie Wendel, Lydia McLafferty, Oliver McLafferty, and Maddox McLafferty.

Louise liked glitz and glamour. She enjoyed making hair bows to share with her loved ones.

In loving memory of Louise, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund, 102 S. Congress St. York, SC 29745 or to the charity of one’s choice.
