Lorine (Nivens) Stevenson

Alice Lorine Nivens Stevenson, 88, of York, SC was called to her heavenly home on Friday, July 22, 2022.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745, and other times at the daughter’s home in Kings Mountain. The funeral service will be held the following day at Bible Covenant Community Church of York at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Gary Teague, II officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York.

Lorine was born on December 30, 1933 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late Shelton Nivens and Ealer Jones Nivens. She was a member of Bible Covenant Community Church of York.

Lorine is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roy Milian Stevenson; daughter, Karen Biggers, granddaughter, Lauren Mault (Matthew), brother, Mike Nivens (Diane), and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lorine was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelley Waldrep and her husband, Stephen; her 3 sisters and her 4 brothers.
