Lillie Mae (Bailey) Noland

Lillie Mae “Lu-Lu” Bailey Noland, 77, of Clover, SC, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025. Born on December 31, 1947, in Fort Mill, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin Bailey and Sophie Brooks Bailey.

Lu-Lu had a heart as big as her love for others. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back—literally—even if you just said you liked it. She found joy in singing and listening to gospel music, tending to her beloved plants, and cherishing time with her church family. But above all, she loved her family—especially her grandchildren—who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Leslie Noland Hammonds (Darren); her grandchildren, Bailey Hammonds (Travis), Cameron Hammonds, and Dalton Hammonds; and her great-grandson, Easton James—all of Clover, SC. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, Rusty, who never left her side.

In addition to her parents, Lu-Lu was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband of 50 years, Russell “Russ” E. Noland; her brothers, Donald Ray Bailey and Fred Willis Bailey; her sister, Mary Francis Bailey; and her precious granddaughter, Kaylie Faith Hammonds.

Lu-Lu’s kindness, faith, and selflessness touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at her daughter’s home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lu-Lu’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association to support the fight against this disease.
