Lewis Brent Childers

Mr. Lewis Brent Childers, age 52, of Smyrna, South Carolina, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 16, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Midway Baptist Church, 12984 State Hwy 55, York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend Jeff Gilfillian and Reverend Mark Dellinger officiating. Following the service, Brent will be laid to rest at his home in Smyrna, SC.

Brent was born on September 14, 1973, in Rock Hill. He was the son of the late Lewis Clifford “Fuzz” Childers and Gaye Boheler Smith.  Brent worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. He was faithfully attended of Midway Baptist Church and loved his church family deeply.

Above all, Brent treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Dee Dee "Stephany" Davies Childers; his beautiful children, Natalie Quarles (Logan), Reagen Childers (Hunter), Mari Haggard (Jacob), and Caiden Davies; and his cherished grandchildren, Charlee Haggard, Tommy Haggard, Owen Lawrimore, and Palmer Quarles. He is also survived by his sister, Roxanne Falls; his niece, Elizabeth Falls; and his nephews, Forest Falls and Ben Falls.
