Kenneth Thomas Church of Clover, SC passed away on Wednesday June 4th, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Hospital in Gastonia, NC.
The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church in York, SC on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. A memorial
service celebrating Ken’s life will begin in the church sanctuary at 12:00 noon with Pastor William Lingerfelt officiating. Following the service, military honors will be provided by VFW Post 12136 Honor Guard.
Ken was born on June 30, 1948, in Burlington, North Carolina. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion. He was the beloved son of the late Mastin Thomas Church and Juanita Wilmouth Church. Ken proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later retired after 20 years of service with the North Carolina National Guard. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he was a dedicated member and Trustee of Bethel Baptist Church. A passionate supporter of youth and community, Ken was a longtime fan of Clover High School football and in recent years became a proud supporter of Ocean Bay Middle School, where his grandson serves as Head Coach. A lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, his greatest joy came from cheering on his great-grandson Tucker in BMX racing.
Above all, Ken cherished his family. He shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Patricia, whom he adored deeply. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, faith, and community.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia Brady Church; his son, Joseph Wayne Church (Jennifer) and his siblings, Camelia Rice (Wayne), and Barry Dale Church (Donna). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Charlie) and Jacob Church (Savannah) along with his great grandchildren, Tucker Emerson and Lawson Church.
