Kaye (Breakfield) Canupp

The sweetest mother and grandmother, Kaye Canupp of Hickory Grove, SC, passed away April 17, 2022 at the age of 71.

Kaye retired from York School District after 34 years of driving a bus. She often bragged of how she helped raise 1/2 of western York County.  Kaye was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where she served as their pianist in excess of 30 years. The most comforting sound was heard when she played Amazing Grace. You could always find your inner peace and solace through her old school style of playing.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Kaye. She loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in serving and taking care of them.  Her mothering personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Truly, she will be greatly missed.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Bobby Canupp; her daughters Danielle Childers and April Canupp; her sister, Ruth Jackson; her grandchildren Chelsy Grant, Cody Childers, Billy Ramsey & Noah Ramsey and her great-granddaughter Rosaleigh Danielle Grant. She was preceded in death by her son Sean Canupp.

The family will be gathering at the home of Chelsy Grant for all who wish to stop by.

They will be receiving friends from 5:00-6:00pm Wednesday April 20th, 2022, at Sharon Baptist Church, Sharon SC followed by a graveside service.
