Kathy (Carroll) Comer

Mrs. Kathy Carroll Comer, 74, of Hickory Grove, SC, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, March 7th, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2 PM officiated by Rev/Dr Warren Forster. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.

Kathy was born on September 12th, 1950, in York, SC to the late  Roy Neil Carroll and Lucille Wallace Carroll. She retired from Duke Power Catawba Nuclear Station. She was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Hickory Grove, SC. Kathy was a lively person with a great sense of humor, and she never met a stranger.  She valued family above all.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Comer, her children, Carroll Comer Spires (Tony), S.  Jason Comer (Michael Walker) and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn S. Davidson (Alex), and Katherine Spires, along with great- grandchild expected in June of 2025. (Kaitlyn and Alex). She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Sprouse and Mykie Anderson.  

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her siblings Robert Neil Carroll and Jean McCarter.
