Judy Elizabeth (Capps) Wright

Judy Elizabeth Capps Wright, 83, of York, SC passed away at her home on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Visitation with Judy’s family will be held at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Highway, York, SC on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with a graveside service following at Lakeview Memory Garden, 1774 Filbert Highway, York, SC at 2:30 pm. The graveside service will be officiated by Reverend Lee Teal.

Judy was born on October 8, 1940 in Greenville, SC. She was a beautician for Ellens Beauty Shop and also a cafeteria manager for the York School District.  She was the daughter of the late Eugene Coley Capps and Mary Jane Willis Capps and the widow of Bobby Joe Wright. She is survived by her children, Cindy Wright Latham (Gene), Lisa Wright Dover (Jerry); her grandchildren: Susan Dover Wright (Trey), Amanda Dover Griffin (Dusty), Stephanie Latham Ashmore (Jeremy), Stacey Latham Vankerschaever (Paul), and Sarah Latham Lister (Jeremy); as well as her great grandchildren, Nathaniel Latham, Blakley Ashmore, Pressley Griffin, Kade Wright, Oliver Griffin, and Mary Grace Wright. Also surviving are her sisters, Jennie Robbins and Jo Banks.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Capps.
