Joyce (Evans) Rogers

Mrs. Joyce Evans Rogers, 88, of York, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill, SC.

A memorial service celebrating Joyce’s life will be hosted by First Baptist Church of Clover at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, and located at 117 S. Main St., Clover, SC 29710. Pastor Mike Stafford will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.

Joyce was born on December 2, 1936, in New Zion, SC, to the late Marion Evans and Minnie Osborne Evans. She was the beloved wife of the late Liston “Hill” Rogers.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Rogers, Mickey Rogers, and Will Rogers (Rinne); her grandchildren: Nikki Green (Mike), Jessica Smith (Troy), Blake Rogers (Loren), Margaret Smith (Garrett), Courtnee Rogers, Matt Davis, Tavis Johnson, and Brian Anderson; and numerous great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by her sisters, Deannie Thigpen, Diane Carper, and Judy Ard; and her brother, Rusty Evans.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings: Richard Evans, Patsy Wilson, L.C. Evans, Rounette Reardon, and Dorothy Haynes.
